Utility Clerk

The Town of Wheatfield Utility Clerk performs many duties vital to the daily operations of our local government. Listed below you will find many of the duties performed.
  • Prepare monthly Sewer/Trash bills.
  • Prepare, collect and answer all Sewer related bill issues.
  • Respond to requests for information from the public, other municipalities, state officials, or state and federal legislative offices.
  • Perform general office duties, typing or proofreading correspondence, distributing or filing official forms, or scheduling appointments.
  • In charge of Cemetery Department and works will documenting and selling cemetery plots.
  • Plan and direct the maintenance, filing, safekeeping, and computerization of all municipal and sewer plant documents.
  • Help in preparing meeting agendas or packets of related information.
  • Prepare ordinances, resolutions, or proclamations so that they can be executed, recorded, archived, or distributed.
  • Maintain Sewer Department fiscal records and accounts.
  • Serve as a notary of the publicfor Town residents.
  • Maintain and update documents, such as municipal codes.
  • Provide assistance with events, such as  scheduling activities at Town park.
